New Year in July

Updated: Jul 8, 2022

I can already imagine you all saying it's July first, so why on God's green earth is Lynita talking about a happy new year. Before you all think I'm crazy, give me a chance to explain, lol. On this first day of the year's second half, we forget everything that has delayed us, distracted us, and discounted our faith. It might have only been me, but the first 6 months of 2022 felt like a

wilderness, full of turmoil, confusion, and warfare. To be honest, I felt like my flesh was winning the battle with Lynita's soul, but the more I fought, I understood that this was a war I could never lose because Christ had already defeated the enemy I was facing. Yes, the first half of 2022 was disappointing and was not giving what the Lord has promised to provide. Yes, injustice and chaos and destruction have been on every side. Yet still, I know that God has been with us! And because we did not relinquish our faith in Jesus Christ, He is certainly keeping his word.

BECOMER, YOU have been combating hell. You were so close to throwing in the towel and bowing to your oppressor, but aht aht STAND UP. Resist the Devil, take your seat next to the father, and prepare to be ushered into your promised land.

Here are some scriptures to celebrate your New day, New Year, New Thing, and New You!

Isaiah 43:18-19

18 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Philippians 3: 12-14

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[d] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
